Cookie Policy

party.dj always uses cookies that are necessary for the platform to work. With your consent we also use analytics and marketing cookies. You choose when you first visit: accept everything, keep only the necessary cookies, or set your own preferences. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Necessary cookies (always on)

• sb-*-auth-token: keeps you logged in to your account (Supabase authentication, up to 1 year).
• site_unlocked: grants access during the private pre-launch period (up to 90 days). Disappears at launch.
• beta_dj_slug: remembers which profile preview belongs to your invitation during the pre-launch period (signed, up to 90 days).
• pdj_impersonate: only set for platform administrators using support tools, valid for 1 hour; regular visitors never receive this cookie.
• fdj_consent: remembers your cookie choice (up to 180 days).

feest.dj and party.dj are separate domains with their own cookies: a choice you make on one does not carry over to the other, and no cookies are shared between them.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Google's measurement code only loads after you have given that consent; without consent nothing is loaded from Google and no measurement takes place, cookieless or otherwise. With consent, Google may set its own cookies (typically up to 2 years). If you later withdraw consent the page reloads so that the already loaded measurement code is actually removed.

Marketing cookies (only with your consent)

If you allow marketing, we use the Meta Pixel and, separately, server-side the Meta Conversions API to measure how our campaigns on Meta (Facebook, Instagram) perform; without your consent for marketing, no Meta cookies are placed and nothing is sent to Meta. The server-side sending transmits your hashed email address/phone number together with your IP address and browser information, so Meta can match the event to a campaign even if the Pixel itself is blocked; see the Privacy Policy for the full detail. We do not currently use Google Ads conversion measurement; we may add it in the future.

Local storage

We store a few preferences in your browser's local storage, such as collapsed banners and read markers for shared music. These stay on your device and are not sent to us. Separately, for our own site statistics (see the Privacy Policy, article 4, "Our own statistics") we store a random session number in your browser's sessionStorage, which exists only until you close the tab; unlike the preferences above, this number is sent to us together with the statistics event it belongs to.

Push notifications

Notifications on your device only work after you explicitly enable them in the dashboard. You can switch them off there at any time, or revoke the permission in your browser or system settings.

Embedded media

DJ profiles can contain embedded players from YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud, Spotify, Mixcloud, TikTok and Instagram (Instagram clips open on Instagram itself). These players only load after you press play; before that moment your browser makes no connection to those parties at all. Preview images and thumbnails are served through our own server, so even those do not create a connection between your browser and the media platform. Pressing play counts as your choice to load that one player at that moment; once playing, the provider may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy, which is stated here so you know this before you click. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and Vimeo's do-not-track option; these limit tracking but are settings of those providers, not a guarantee from us.

Fonts

The fonts on this website are hosted by us; your browser does not connect to a fonts provider when you visit the site.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the authentication cookie means you cannot stay logged in.
